Marauders downed in three at Seton Hill

Greensburg, Pa. - Seton Hill maintained its top spot in the PSAC Southwest Division by beating visiting Millersville in straight sets (25-20, 25-11, 25-20) Friday evening.
Seton Hill (19-5, 11-3 PSAC) totaled 46 kills while Millersville (15-9, 6-8 PSAC) managed just 26 kills--its second-fewest of the season. Kelsi Ceriani totaled seven kills with just one error for the Marauders. Viktoria Farian led Seton Hill with 14 kills with a .423 hitting percentage.
Despite being out-hit in all three sets, Millersville built a 17-13 lead in set one. Seton Hill recorded five kills in the next six rallies to pull in front. Millersville came back with two Seton Hill miscues and a Haley Butler kill to take a 20-19 lead but then committed three attack errors and a set error, giving Seton Hill six consecutive points and the 25-20 win.
In the second set, Seton Hill Hill held a slight 10-8 lead before outscoring Millersville 15-3 the rest of the set. Millersville recorded just five kills while committing five errors, five reception errors and a service error. Seton Hill scored the first point of the third set and led the entire match.
The loss drops Millersville two matches out of PSAC Tournament contention with four matches to play. The Marauders can make up ground Saturday against California, which enters the match with an 8-6 league record.
