HOW THEY GOT HERE
• Three seed Millersville hosted a quarterfinal match with six seed Seton Hill on Oct. 31. The Marauders rolled to a 3-0 victory after freshman
Nicholas Leinbach, senior
Marcus Frangakis, and junior
Chase Flickinger netted strikes to put the game away. The Marauders dominated possession and suppressed Seton Hill's leading scorer to end any comeback attempts late in the second half.
• Gannon earned a first round bye after jumping Millersville and Mercyhurst in the rankings on the last day of the regular season. Mercyhurst lost at East Stroudsburg and Gannon defeated Millersville to leap frog both teams.
THE LAST TIME THESE TEAMS PLAYED
• Gannon spoiled Millersville's senior day on Oct. 28. Eduardo de Bonis scored two goals in the opening ten minutes. Frangakis quickly responded and halved Gannon's lead in the 15th minute. Millersville's momentum faded in the 24th minute as de Bonis completed his hat trick. Mathias Krigbaum scored in the 51st minute to put the game out of reach at 4-1 in favor of the Golden Knights. With a three goal lead, Gannon parked the bus and limited Millersville's opportunities to make a comeback. Freshman Matteo Adiletta got one back for Millersville with a strike in the 85th minute, but the game ended with a 4-2 Gannon victory.
TALE OF THE TAPE
• After their quarterfinal matchup, Millersville ranks third in goals scored in the conference (39) while allowing the fourth least amount of goals scored (20) and having the third best scoring margin (1.06).
• Millersville benefits from a committee of goal scorers. Junior
Chase Flickinger leads the team with 23 points and 10 goals along with three assists. Flickinger ranks tied for fourth in the conference in goals scored and tied for fifth in the conference in total points. Frangakis, Adiletta and sophomore
Jacob Gosselin tied for second on the team with seven goals each while ranking tied for ninth in the conference in goals scored. Additionally, three of Gosselin's goals were game winners which ranked sixth in the conference. Junior
Dylan Fogerty leads the team with five assists and is tied for seventh in the conference in assists. Frangakis ranks second on the team with four assists.
• The Millersville defense along with keepers McCauley and junior
Coby Breen combined for eight shutouts during the regular season. McCauley is credited with seven shutouts which is tied for first in the conference.
• Gannon scored 27 goals on the season which ranked seventh in the PSAC conference while only allowing 19 goals which ranked third.
• Like Millersville, Gannon relied on a committee of goal scorers to reach the PSAC Semifinals. Krigbaum leads the team with eight goals which ranks eighth in conference while de Bonis ranks second on the team and tied for ninth in the conference with seven goals. Millersville's defense is all too aware of the threat Krigbaum and de Bonis present after the pair scored four goals on them five days ago. Millersville's midfield and defense will look to use that experience to limit their opportunities and earn a different result. Alex Lee Yaw is a facilitator for the Golden Knights and ranks third on the team in points with four goals and four assists. Gannon keeper Jorge Hernandez ranks third in the conference and one spot ahead of McCauley in goals against average (1.054). Hernandez also ranks fifth in the conference in save percentage after saving nearly three quarters of the shots sent his way.

The team's upperclassmen are looking to make the third time the charm after failing to hoist the hardware in their previous two playoff runs. Millersville has now appeared in the PSAC playoffs 10 times in 11 seasons under head coach
Steve Widdowson.
