GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville looks to snap an eight-game skid Wednesday against Cheyney. Millersville is 0-7 in the new year, but its last four home games have been against teams with a combined 60-12 record. Two of those games came against nationally-ranked teams, and in both of those games, Millersville trailed by only six points with under three minutes to play. Despite the slide, Millersville sits just one game behind Mansfield and Lock Haven for the No. 6 playoff spot in the PSAC East.
• Only six of the 17 PSAC opponents have a winning record all-time against Millersville, and Cheyney is one of them. Cheyney owns a 65-55 all-time lead in the series, thanks largely to winning 40 of 41 games between 1963-1984. Millersville has won nine of the last 11 match-ups including five in a row at home. Since 1984, Millersville is 23-10 against Cheyney in Pucillo Gymnasium. Last season, the programs split with Millersville losing 68-65 in overtime on the road but winning 61-50 at home.
• Cheyney ranks last in the PSAC in scoring margin at -22.2 points per game. Millersville is 15th at -6.6. Millersville ranks 16th in field goal percentage and 17th in field goal percentage defense while Cheyney ranks 18th in both categories. Despite committing 21 turnovers against Kutztown, Millersville continues to rank near the top of the PSAC in turnover margin. Millersville ranks third at +3.35. Millersville's 12.4 turnovers per game is second only to Edinboro's 11.8.
•
Cornell Yarde II ranks ninth in the PSAC in minutes played, averaging 34.4 minutes per game. Yarde has played at least 35 minutes 10 times and played 38 and 39 in each of the last two games respectively. Yarde has averaged 14.9 points per game over his last seven, scoring in double figures six times and 20 or more twice. His shooting percentage, now at .431 on the season, has been at .462 over the last seven games, and he's also made 11-of-13 free throws in that stretch.
• Millersville has seven different lineups that have played together for at least 15 minutes this season, and of number, the lineup of
Jon Lott,
Marcus Adkison,
Amadou Kaba,
Conrad Chambers and Yarde are eve (305-305) in plus/minus. That lineup has played together 163:55, which is 113 minutes more than any other lineup. The second most-used grouping swaps
Markeith Mont for Kaba, and that lineup is +5 (97-92) over 50:32.
•
Tom Townsend scored his first start of the season Saturday and delivered a career-high seven points on 3-of-7 shooting as well as a season-high four rebounds in 21 minutes. Townsend has made a three in four of his last five appearances and has played 14 or more minutes in three consecutive games after totaling double-digit minutes just once in his first nine appearances.
• Over the last four games,
Jordan Greene is averaging a team-high 15.5 points per game, shooting .418 from the field, .400 from three and 12-of-13 from the line. He's also second on the team with 5.0 rebounds per game in that stretch. Greene has eight offensive rebounds in the last three games as well.
SCOUTING CHEYNEY

• Marshall has scored 20 or more three times and has scored in double figures in five of the last six games. Marshall ranks 14th in the PSAC in assists at 3.6 per game.
• Cheyney's defense ranks last in the PSAC in scoring and field goal percentage, allowing 89.1 points per game and 49.4 percent shooting. Opponents also shoot 40 percent from three.
