East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania --Â The Millersville women's swimming team lost to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival East Stroudsburg 171-91 Saturday.
The team struggled to earn top spots in their first meet since November. Junior
Emily Fusco earned both of the team's first place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke. Fusco finished only a second in front of ESU's Colleen Dwyer in the 100-yard backstroke.
Two Marauders topped their best times of the season. Junior Teagon Hanlon eclipsed her 500-yard freestyle by almost four seconds. Freshman
Judith Miller improved her time in the 100-yard butterfly by 35 hundredths of a second.
Freshman
Madisson Cartmill finished third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in her first attempt at the event this season. Fusco finished third in her first attempt of the 200-yard individual medley this season.
The Millersville swim team's next event is Jan. 21 at home against PSAC rival Kutztown University.
