Women's basketball busy with helping hands

As part of the University-wide Day of Caring, members of the team were sent into Lancaster to clean houses and apartments for women recently released from prison. The Marauders cleaned the homes and prepared them for move-in. The team also had the opportunity to meet with the young lady and family that was moving into the apartment. The organization the team worked with was Tabor Community Services, which helps Lancaster County residents solve housing and financial problems.
Members of the team also assisted with the University's American Dream Scholarship Ride. The ride, held on September 17, is a bicyle ride starter by President Dr. John Anderson to raise scholarship money for Millersville University students. The team assisted with the set-up and operation of the event.
The women's basketball season begins on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. against Lincoln.
