GAME OVERVIEW
• Looking to gain revenge on last year's PSAC Championship loss, Millersville hosts Slippery Rock Saturday at 1 p.m. After falling on the road to Adelphi, Millersville battled PSAC rival East Stroudsburg to a 3-3 tie Tuesday.
• Millersville built a 2-0 lead against the Warriors with goals from
Jaxson Burns and
Ethan Woods but surrendered consecutive goals in the second half. The Marauders would regain the lead in the 75th minute when
Andrei Kin headed in a cross but the Warriors answered and the two teams ended the second overtime tied.
ABOUT THE SERIES
• Millersville holds a 17-11-2 record against Slippery Rock. The two sides faced off twice in 2015, with the Marauders taking the first matchup 2-1. Millersville and Slippery Rock met again in the PSAC Championship where the Rock topped the Marauders by the score of 2-1.Â

• The Marauders looked primed to take the game, scoring in the second minute when
Chase Flickinger found
Tanner Brenize to put Millersville up 1-0. Slippery Rock and Millersville traded shots but went into the break with the Marauders having a 1-0 lead.
• The Rock got on the board in the 64th minute when Ryan Lutke drilled a free kick to tie the score. Minutes later, Peter Boylan took a rebound and put it in the back of the net to put the Rock on top. Millersville had chances late and outshot the Rock 18-15 but could not convert.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Coming into the season with high expectations, Slippery Rock has stumbled to start the 2016 season going 1-2-1. The Rock started the season with a pair of losses to non-conference opponents before beating Shippensburg 2-0 and tying California (Pa.) 0-0.Â
• Slippery Rock has a much younger squad this season. Nick Sodini (Freshman) and Justin Minda (Sophomore) have provided the scoring, both registering a goal and an assist.Â
FAMILIAR FACE
• Slippery Rock is now coached by first-year head coach and former Marauder assistant Steve Small. Small worked on the Millersville staff since 2007 after graduating from Desales University in 2006.Â
• Small helped Widdowson lead Millersville to seven-straight PSAC Tournament appearances and five NCAA Tournament berths in recent years as well as its first-ever NCAA Semifinal and its first-ever PSAC Tournament Championship in 2011.
