Leik Secures USC First Team All-America Recognition

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Head Coach Steve Widdowson added another All-American to his portfolio at Millersville University, as Zander Leik was named to the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America.

Leik is coming off a breakout season in which he led the Marauders offensively. The redshirt junior returned to the pitch this fall after suffering a season-ending injury the previous year. He recorded 11 goals and four assists for a total of 26 points. His dominance was especially evident in October, when he scored six goals across an eight-match stretch, earning PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors on October 13.

The Dallastown native continued his strong play into the postseason. In the PSAC Tournament semifinals against Bloomsburg, he tallied two goals and an assist, including the game-winning goal in second overtime with under a minute remaining. He followed that performance with Millersville's lone goal in the championship match.

This recognition added to a growing list of honors for Leik this season. He was named to the All-PSAC East First Team, D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team, United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region First Team, and now the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America.

Widdowson's program continued its tradition of excellence, with Leik becoming the 11th All-American during his tenure. The most recent All-Americans prior to Leik were Aaron Maynard and Bob Hennessey, who both earned First Team honors in 2023.
