
Track and Field Sets Records at Bucknell

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Millersville track and field team had a big showing at the Bison Open Sunday as Vanessa Hower placed first in the hammer throw and four PSAC qualifying marks were reached. Hower broke the Marauder record in the hammer throw twice as she registered 54.13 meters and finished first overall Sunday.
Erin Madison had a big day for Millersville, placing first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.50 and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles clocking in at 14.88.
In the 4x100-meter relay, Madison, Courtney Ingold, Clara Forney and Kiara Allen teamed up to set a Marauder record of 47.17, placing second overall.
In the 100-meter dash, Allen finished second overall with a time of 12.15 while Ingold placed sixth with a personal record time of 12.45. Close behing Allen and Ingold were Arianna Camel and Clara Forney who garnered PSAC qualifying marks of 12.61 and 12.84 respectively.
Sunflower Greene tossed the discus 40.58 meters and finished third overall in the shot put with a distance of 13.5 meters. In the javelin, Amanda Myers registered a distance of 45.51 meters which was good enough for second and ranks 10th in Divsion II. Shannon Cruz hit a PSAC qualifying time of 39:36.32 in the 10,000-meter run.
Millersville will return to action Wednesday as they travel to Shippensburg for the 4-Way Invitational.
