
Camel Places Third in Heptathalon

Kutztown, Pa. - After a strong day one Thursday, Arianna Camel and Madie Tropp completed the Mondschein Multi at Kutztown Friday where Camel finished third overall and Tropp placed 14th.
On Thursday, Camel totaled 2,749 points, just seven shy of the first place Kristen Belko (Clarion). Camel paced the field in the 200-meter dash, recording a time of 26.34. Camel finished second in the high jump with a height of 1.58 meters and third in the 100-meter hurdles clocking in at 15.56. In the shot put, Camel tossed 9.55 meters, which was the fifth best toss in the 19 person field. Friday, Camel registered a 4.76m in the long jump and a 22.80 meter toss in the javelin while running a 2:42.07 in the 800-meters, totaling 4,134 points which was good for third place.
Going into Friday, Madie Tropp had an impressive 1.52 meter height in the high jump and recorded a 16.12 time in the 100-meter hurdles. In the 200-meter dash, Tropp registered 28 seconds even and threw 7.22 meters in the shot put. On Friday, Tropp marked 4.51 meters in the long jump and a 16.40 meter toss in the javelin. In the 800-meters, Topp clocked in at 2:37.81 to finish with 3,575 points.
The Millersville Track & Field team will travel to Lewisburg for the Bison Open Saturday.
