Marauders Fall to Nationally-Ranked West Chester

West Chester, Pa. - Millersville fell by a 21-3 final score at nationally-ranked West Chester Tuesday.
Bridget Hufnagel, Sabrina Fusco and Callie Kavanaugh scored the lone goals for Millersville. The Marauders were outshot 31-8 and turned the ball over 31 times to the Golden Rams' 16. West Chester quickly established control, scoring the first four goals before Hufnagel got Millersville on the board with just under 16 minutes to play in the first half. The Golden Rams responded by scoring 10 in a row to go into halftime with a 14-1 lead.
West Chester would begin the second half just as they did the first, scoring four goals to extend their lead to 18-1 when Fusco found Kavanaugh in front of the net for her first goal of the day. The Golden Rams would extend their lead to 20-2 before Fusco scored her team leading 21st goal of the season. West Chester improves to 5-0 on the season going 1-0 in conference play.
Millersville falls to 4-2 starting 1-1 in conference play and return home Saturday when they host IUP at 1 p.m.
