Cruz finishes 21st at Atlantic Regional, earns All-Region for third time

Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania -- Senior Shannon Cruz finished 21st at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional 6K and earned All-Region honors as the Millersville women's cross country team finished 18th Saturday.

Cruz's final race provided an exclamation point for a storied career. She finished the 6K with a time of 23:52, and only four seconds seprated her from a top-20 finish.

Cruz earned All-Region every year of her career except for her junior season when she missed a portion of the season because of a fractured femur. She is the fourth woman in program history to earn All-Region three times.

Senior Megan O'Neill finished second for the Marauders with a time of 26:11. In her final season, O'Neill had the second best finish in every race for the Marauders this season.

Freshman Brianna Landis finished third for the Marauders with a time of 27:57. Freshman Millie Davis finished fourth for the Marauders with a time of 28:33. Junior Aniya Gibbs rounded out the Marauders with a time of 29:20.
