Marauders dominate Relay Carnival

Millersville, Pennsylvania - The Millersville swimming team held its annual Relay Carvinal Saturday and cleaned up, winning eight of 11 events. The meet featured the Marauders, the Warriors of East Stroudsburg, and the Kutztown Golden Bears.
The highlight of the day was in the 300-yard backstroke relay in which Emily Fusco swam a pool-record 100 split as Millersville clocked in a 3:02.55 time to take first. In the 800-yard breastroke, the Marauders took first with a time of 8:24.61 in the finals but swam a 7:52.45 in the prelims.
Millersville paced the field in the 500-yard freestyle relay with a time of 5:05.21 and followed it up with a 1:44.36 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. In the 1,500-yard freestyle relay, the Marauders placed first with a time of 17:11.19 in the finals and registered a 3:56.93 in the prelims and 4:24.42 in the finals to take the 400-yard Medley IM.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Millersville swam a 3:50.49 to take first in the 400-yard freestyle relay and finished the meet with 2:43.61 to win the 8x25-yard t-shirt relay.
The Marauders returns to action Saturday when host Juniata and California (Pa.) at 1 p.m.
