
Swimming tops Juniata in dual action

Millersville, Pennsylvania - The Millersville women's swimming team opened its dual meet schedule with a 119-66 victory over Juniata Saturday in Pucillo Natatorium. The Marauders won six of the 11 events including six of nine individual events.
Ariana Crossgrove delivered a PSAC Championships qualifying time of 1:01.81 en route to a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke. Rachel Malampy also posted a PSAC qualifying time in the 50-yard freestyle, swimming a 25.68. Crossgrove took second behind Malampy and Elizabeth Ebert followed, giving Millersville the top three finishers in the event. Malampy also won the 100-yard freestyle in 56.59 as Millersville took the top three places again.
The Marauders also took 1-2-3 in the 200-yard freestyle with Mallory Dyson taking first with a time of 2:05.01, followed by Madisson Cartmill and Teagan Hanlon. Jessica Berry won the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:42.57), Gabriella Licata took first in the 200-yard IM (2:26.19),
Millersville and Juniata split the two relay events with the Marauders winning the 200-yard medley. The quartet of Emily Fusco, Licata, Ebert and Dyson delivered a time of 1:57.87, edging Millersville's No. 2 entry by less than a second.
Millersville returns to action on Oct. 29 against California (Pa.).
