GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville returns to the friendly confines of Pucillo Gymnasium for a much needed home game after suffering a 22-point loss to IUP on Wednesday. The Crimson Hawks outscored Millersville by 11 in each half – 34-23 in the first and 44-33 in the second enroute to the 78-56 victory. Shawn Williams and Ricky Mosley were the only Marauders finishing in double figures with 19 and 12 points apiece. Former IUP guard Cornell Yarde II made his first start since Dec. 1 and earned 29 minutes of action contributing two points, three rebounds and two assists.
• Millersville has lost 11 straight games, seven of those conference matchups, and has not seen a victory since a 75-66 road win over Gannon on Nov. 21. Shippensburg carries a 9-5 overall record and are 6-4 within conference play which is good for the fourth best mark in the PSAC East.
• Millersville is 16th in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 67.1 points per contest; the Marauders have reached 70 points just five times in 14 games this season, including a season-high 79 against California (Pa.)
• Solid defense will be one of the keys to victory for both teams. The Raiders enter Saturday's contest with the league's 11th ranked scoring defense as they give up 73.9 points per game. Meanwhile, Millersville is 13th in the PSAC at 77.9 points. The Marauders will surely look to keep better care of the ball as they turned it over a season-high 21 times against IUP. The Crimson Hawks punished the Marauders for their mistakes scoring 25 points off of the turnovers.
• Senior guard Shawn Williams has been a constant source of offence for the Marauders scoring in double figures in 13-straight games. Williams is sixth in the PSAC averaging 18.2 points per game and is second in the league in made 3-pointers with 34. The Robert Vaux product averages 2.5 converted 3-pointers per game.
• The Millersville/Shippensburg series dates back to the 1903-04 season where the Raiders won the aunogral matchup by a 10-9 score. The Marauders have won nine of the last 12 meetings over Shippensburg dating back to 2009-10 season. Millersville has won four in a row and seven of the last nine inside Pucillo Gymnasium with the Raiders last victory in the building coming in 2011. Fred Thompson owns a 3-1 head-to-head edge over Chris Frite as Thompson owns a 17-13 career record against Shippensburg.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
•  Shippensburg extended its winning streak to four games on Wednesday by outlasting home standing Pitt-Johnstown by a 79-72 score. Senior Tony Ellis was brilliant at both ends of the floor as he scored 14 points while corralling seven rebounds and tying a Shippensburg school record with seven steals. Sophomore Dustin Sleva is second in the PSAC in rebounding, while junior Abe Massaley is among the PSAC's Top-10 in scoring and assists.
• Sleva was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week on December 21. It is the first career PSAC East Athlete of the Week honor for Sleva and the first for the Raiders since Dylan Edgar was recognized on Nov. 17, 2014. Sleva, the NCAA Division II leader in double-doubles (nine) and total rebounds (166), has been a force to be reckoned with down low averaging 11.9 boards per game.
