GAME OVERVIEW
• After winning seven of eight games, Millersville entered a challening portion of the schedule beginning Wednesday. The Marauders suffered a road loss to IUP on Wednesday, ending their four-game winning streak. Now comes a stretch of three PSAC East games against teams vying for top playoff seeding. Shippensburg is 2.5 games clear of the rest of the East and has won seven in a row.
• The game is a clash of styles. The Raiders leads the PSAC in scoring offense and field goal percentage. They have shot better than 40 percent in 13 consecutive games. Millersville, meanwhile, leads the PSAC in scoring defense and field goal percentage defense. Millersville is the only team in the league holding teams to fewer than 60 points per game. While the Marauders are the top defensive team in the league, they averaged just 63.0 points per game and connect on just 26.2 percent of their threes. Only two teams in the league have made fewer than Millersville's 50 threes.
• Millersville scored a season-low 45 points against IUP Wednesday and has now been held to fewer than 60 points five times and are 2-4 in those games. Shippensburg's season-low in points is 65 and has scored 80 or more points four times.
• A key match-up will occur in the paint with Ship's Morgan Griffith and Millersville's Yasmin Cooper. Griffith is Ship's top scorer and the PSAC's No. 3 rebounder. Cooper ranks sixth in rebounding and is the best offensive rebounder in the league (4.6 per game). Griffith has scored 20 or more points four times this season.
• Celeste Robinson has scored in double-figures in 10 of 13 games and the Marauders are 1-2 when she misses that mark. Her .517 field goal percentage ranks sixth in the league. Robinson has scored in double-figures in four consecutive games. She is averaging 16.3 points over the last four games and has also improved her free throw shooting drastically. She has connected on 14 of her last 17 (.823) after starting the season 22-for-33 (.667).
• Millersville is 5-1 at home and is averaging 12.1 points per game more at Pucillo Gymnasium. It is shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from three at home compared to 39.5 percent from the field and 21.7 percent from three on the road. Defense certainly travels as the Marauders are allowing 57.9 points per game on the road and 59.7 at home. Aunjel Van Brakle is noticeably more productive at home, averaging 13.8 points per game on 51.6 percent shooting compared to 5.0 points per game and 28.8 percent shooting on the road.  FIve of Van Brakle's six double-digit scoring performances have come at home.
• The Millersville/Shippensburg series dates to 1921 and has been closely contested throughout its history with Ship holding a slight 46-45 lead. Mary Fleig owns a 16-10 head-to-head edge over Kristy Trn. The last 10 meetings have been split evenly at five wins apiece.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Shippensburg has reached the PSAC Tournament for four consecutive seasons but are tracking toward advancing past the quarterfinal for the first time since 2003-04. The Raiders are the first team in the PSAC to 12 wins. Morgan Griffith, Stephanie Knauer and Lauren Gold were all named All-PSAC East last season and the team returns all five starters from a 19-11 club.
• Griffith has six double-doubles to her credit already. Point guard Lauren Gold averages 4.3 assists per game, which is good for 12th in the PSAC. She is sixth in assist/turnover ratio at plus-1.7. Logan Snyder is an efficient offensive player, hitting 61.6 percent of her shots and ranking second in the PSAC in that category. Gold is the PSAC's No. 3 free throw shooter at 90.8 percent. The Raiders have three players ranked in the league's top 10.
