GAME OVERVIEW
• The Millersville men's basketball team has their sights set on knocking off the streaking Kutztown Golden Bears in a PSAC East road matchup. The Golden Bears are in third-place in the division with a 13-3 mark and is just one game back of division leading West Chester with eight games left on the schedule. The Marauders are 2-9 on the road, but have shown modest success at Keystone Hall in the past under Head Coach Fred Thompson.
• Last time out, Millersville held the PSAC's top scoring offense in check early, but the East Stroudsburg Warriors rattled off a 35-8 run to conclude the first half and downed the Marauders 94-51 at Kohler Fieldhouse. ESU entered as the league's top offense averaging 90.4 points per contest and was held in check by an opportunistic Marauder defense that forced several early turnovers. However, the Warriors closed the half on a 35-8 run – including the final 10 points of the half as they carried a 45-20 lead into the halftime break. Sophomore Jerrin Ball made his second start of the season and responded with a solid eight points on 2-of-6 shooting from the field.
• Millersville is 16th in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 65.2 points per contest; the Marauders have reached 70 points just five times in 18 games this season, including a season-high 79 against California (Pa.).
• Leading scorer Shawn Williams averages 16.1 points per game, which ranks seventh best in the PSAC. Williams has scored in double figures a team leading 15 times this season and has done so 28 times during his career for the Black & Gold.  The Roberts Vaux product has been known as a proficient 3-point shooter through his career and ranks 15th in the PSAC this season shooting at a 33 percent clip.
• Kutztown has displayed one of the best offenses in the PSAC this season. The Golden Bears entered the week second in the conference with 85.9 points per game and is fifth in field goal percentage at 47.4 percent. KU has also stepped up on the defensive end, ranking third in field goal percentage defense at 40.9 percent. KU also rank second in both rebounding and assists per game.
• Six of the last seven games between these PSAC rivals have been decided by single digits with two of the contests reaching overtime. With 206 previous meetings, Millersville has played Kutztown more than any other opponent. With the exception of the years during World War II and 1907-08, the programs have met at least twice each season since 1904-05.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Kutztown enters today's contest after knocking off the 17th-ranked West Chester Golden Rams on Wednesday evening. The win marked Kutztown's first over a nationally-ranked team in more than five years, dating back to a 67-60 road win at then-23rd-ranked Philadelphia University on Nov. 13, 2010 in the season-opener. The Golden Bears held West Chester below their averages in 3-pointers, points and rebounds. KU didn't let a rowdy home crowd affect its composure and shot 47.5 percent from the field while holding West Chester to 40.0. Freshman Anthony Lee led all scorers with 23 points on 7-for-12 shooting, including a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line. He grabbed seven rebounds and added three assists.
