GAME OVERVIEW
• Home court advantage is everything when the Marauders and Golden Rams meet. The home team has won 28 of the 37 meetings during the Fred Thompson Era, and Millersville has won seven of the last eight games at home against West Chester. However, winning in Hollinger Fieldhouse is no easy task for the Marauders. The Black & Gold last won in Hollinger in the 2012-13 season, and historically, the team has struggled in the building. Millersville is just 3-18 in the building since 1995 and just 2-17 in regular season affairs. The Marauders have scored more than 70 points just once in their past 10 games there and are coming off a 78-49 loss in the building a year ago.
• The Marauders have dropped 13-straight games and nine-straight conference contests after falling 71-60 to Bloomsburg last Wednesday. The Huskies defense held Millersville to 36.4 percent (20-55) shooting from the floor. With the score deadlocked at 13, Tommy Patterson sunk a pair of free throws and a Husky turnover led to a Patterson layup in transition. The Marauder lead was short-lived; Bloomsburg finished the first half on a 19-3 run as it went into the halftime break with a 32-20 advantage. The Huskies built their largest lead of the game in the second half (22) as they held a 56-34 advantage after a Donell Diggs trey with 10:39 remaining. Bloomsburg coasted from that point forward securing the 71-60 victory.
• Millersville is 16th in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 66.4 points per contest; the Marauders have reached 70 points just five times in 16 games this season, including a season-high 79 against California (Pa.).
• Senior guard Shawn Williams is among the PSAC scoring leaders checking in at No. 7 with 17.0 points per contest. Williams has also stepped up to be the Marauders team leader in rebounding as he averages 5.7 boards and has collected a total of 86 on the season.
• Junior Markeith Mont has become a steady presence on the block since being inserted into Fred Thompson's starting lineup on Dec. 31. Mont has scored in double figures in three of his five starts including a career-high 27 points against Bowie State. As a starter the Philadelphia, Pa., native is averaging 13.4 points per game, 4.4 boards and has tallied five blocks during that span.
• Millersville hopes to keep the Golden Rams off of the offensive glass as West Chester is the PSAC's top offensive rebounding team averaging 14.4 boards a game. Matt Wisley is a player to watch down low as he averages 7.4 rebounds per game and 3.6 on the offensive end.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• A year ago, the Golden Rams finished in second place in the highly competitive PSAC Eastern Division and reached the postseason tournament. A first-round loss at home to Kutztown has left Coach Blair and the Golden Rams with a sour taste in their mouths and have raced out of the gates with a PSAC East leading 14-2 overall record and 10-2 in conference mark so far.
• West Chester is off to its best start since 1998-99 with their 90-68 win over Mansfield. The Golden Rams' 14-2 mark matches that of the 1998-99 team that went 23-6 under Dick DeLaney for the best start to a season after 16 games. Senior guard Avery Brown tied a career-high with 22 points to lead West Chester to victory. Malik Jackson and Matt Wiseley each added 13 points (nine in the second half for Wiseley) while Matt Penecale contributed 12 for the game.
