GAME OVERVIEW
• For the second time in the last three years, Millersville is hosting a PSAC Tournament game in Pucillo Gymnasium. It is Millersville's third consecutive trip to the PSAC Tournament and it is the second year in a row that the Marauders and Lock Haven Bald Eagles have met in the first round. Last season, the Marauders erased a 19-point deficit to win on the road. This time, the Marauders get Lock Haven on the Pucillo Gymnasium floor where they are 11-4 this season.  Millersville is 43-7 against Lock Haven at home since 1952, and Lock Haven has won in Pucillo just once (1-16) since the building opened in 1970. That win came on Feb. 22, 2014.

• This is the 23rd PSAC Tournament appearance for Millersville since it started 32 years ago. The Marauders have made eight championship game appearances and have won five including two under Coach Fred Thompson. Despite all the success of the program, this is just the fourth PSAC Tournament game played at Pucillo Gymnasium since the Marauders hosted and won the tournament in 1993. Millersville is 11-4 all-time in PSAC Tournament games played in Pucillo and 3-0 under Thompson. Thompson is also 6-3 in opening round games with six consecutive wins since losing in his first three tournament appearances by a total of 11 points.

• Since Jan. 10, Millersville has been as good as any team in the PSAC East. The Marauders are 9-4 in that stretch, matching records with West Chester and standing one win better than No. 2 seed Kutztown. Only East Stroudsburg's 11-3 record over that span is better. Over the last 13 games, four active players are averaging in double figures led by Sam Light's 12.5 points per game. Light has hit 35.9 percent of his threes over that stretch. At the same time, the Marauders are holding teams to 37.5 percent shooting and 67.8 points per game. They are also winning the rebounding battle, 40.2-37.9.

• Defense is key for the Marauders. They are 14-2 when holding teams under 41 percent shooting and 1-11 when allowing opponents to shoot over that mark.  They are 11-1 when holding teams to fewer than 70 points and 13-1 when shooting a higher percentage than the opponent. The Marauders are also 8-0 when totaling 40-plus rebounds.

• Millersville knows first hand that holding Wali Hepburn in check is essential. Hepburn led Lock Haven in scoring each game and hit for at least 20 points three times in its recent four-game winning streak. In the loss to Bloomsburg, however, he shot 2-of-11 from the field. In Millersville's win over Lock Haven, it held Hepburn to 15 points on 5-of-18 shooting. In the loss, however, Hepburn shot 18 free throws and scored 25 points. In six career games against the Marauders, Hepburn is averaging 22.7 points per game with five games of at least 20 points and one of 30.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Lock Haven had ripped off four consecutive wins until a 24-point loss at Bloomsburg to conclude the regular season. The Bald Eagles went 3-11 on the road this season including a 74-53 loss at Millersville in January, which stood as Millersville's largest margin of victory this season. Wai Hepburn  has led the team in scoring 17 times and averages a PSAC-best 19.3 points per game. He does everything for his offense, also ranking fourth in the PSAC in assists per game at 4.8. As a team, Lock Haven ranks 17th in the league in scoring defense and 14th in field goal percentage defense.  Al Blount  shoots 47 percent from three, and 44 of his 54 made field goals are threes.
