GAME OVERVIEW
• The Millersville women's basketball team is coming off a close 58-54 loss to Kutztown inside Pucillo Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 7. Until this season, Millersville had never lost five straight home games and inside the program's record books, home and away were accounted for beginning with the 1982-83 season.

• Cheyney has won two of its last three against Millersville for the first time since Jan. 21, 1991 in head coach Mary Fleig's first season. Cheyney's Jan. 10 win at Millersville was its first  there since Jan. 24, 1990, the year before Mary came over from Franklin & Marshall. Prior to this season's loss against the Wolves, Millersville had won 25 in a row at home against Cheyney. The Marauders are trying to avoid consecutive losses at Cheyney for the first time since 1990 and 1991. Cheyney is trying to defeat Millersville twice in the same season for the first time since 1981-82.

• That 1981-82 Cheyney team went to the inagural NCAA Division 1 Championship game as a Division II school coached by NCAA Hall of Famer C. Vivian Stringer. Stringer was inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2009 in a class that included Michael Jordan, John Stockton, David Robinson, and the all-time winningest coach in NBA history, Jerry Sloan. That Cheyney team came out of the East Regional by defeating seventh-seeded Auburn, third-seeded North Carolina State (on their home floor in Reynolds Coliseum) and fourth-seeded Kansas. In the Final Four, Cheyney defeated Maryland but lost in the final to Louisiana Tech 76-62. Cheyney finished the season with a record of 23-8 while Yolanda Laney and Valerie Walker were named to the NCAA All-Tournament team.

• Cheyney is one of the better teams in the PSAC at forcing turnovers. The Wolves' opponents are turning the ball over an average of 16.9 times per game, which ranks eighth in the conference. When these two teams met on Jan. 10, Millersville turned the ball over 19 times which turned into 16 points for Cheyney.

• Most recently, the Wolves dropped a five-point decision to Kutztown, 65-60, in their only contest of the past week. Cheyney recorded a season-high five blocked shots in the loss to the Golden Bears. Hines-Allen recorded her sixth double-double of the season, scoring 13 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Phillips turned in 18 and Whitley-Duncan added 13 points of her own.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• The Cheyney women's basketball team continues to be led by Kyra Hines-Allen who is the team's only scorer averaging double figures with 12.9 points per contest. Hines-Allen is also the Wolves' top rebounder at 8.5 boards per contest. The Montclair, N.J. native has scored at least 10 points 15 times this season and reached the 20-point mark on three occasions. The last time Cheyney and Millersville met on Jan. 10, though, Hines-Allen was held in check with only seven points on 2-of-5 shooting to go with nine rebounds, two assists and six turnovers. TaKayla Ellis turned in a game-high 22 points including six makes in 10 attempts from behind the arc. There were two other Wolves in double figures including Kia Whitley-Duncan (15) and Taschell Phillips (13).
