GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville is coming off of its best performance of the season in a 71-38 rout of Goldey-Beacom on New Year's Eve inside Pucillo Gymnasium. The 33-point victory marked the most lopsided win for the Marauders since Nov. 17, 2012 when they defeated Wilmington by 38 points, 94-56. Sabina Mehmedovic and Tyisha White each had 11 points to lead Millersville in scoring, which tied a career-high for Mehmedovic and was a new personal-best for White. Alexis Martin earned the fifth double double of her career and second of the season with 10 points and 12 boards while Yasmin Cooper was one point shy of the double double along with her game-high 17 boards.

• The Marauders recorded several other season-bests on New Year's Eve including least points allowed (38), 3-pointers made (11-for-23), 3-point field goal percentage (47.8), defensive rebounds (46), total rebounds (60), and lowest opponent field goal percentage (18.2). Those are the least points allowed since March 2, 2013, most triples made since Dec. 1, 2012, most defensive rebounds in a game since at least the beginning of the 2002-03 season, and most total rebounds in a game since Nov. 17, 2012. Also, no team has shot that poorly against the Marauders since Mansfield shot 17 percent from the field on Jan. 31, 2009.

• When looking at the all-time series between Millersville and these two teams, there haven't been that many meetings. The Golden Knights lead the all-time series with the Marauders 6-2 but Millersville is out in front of Clarion all-time, 11-7.

• With the win over Goldey-Beacom, Millersville improved to 5-0 at home, 7-0 when leading at halftime, 7-0 when it shoots a higher percentage than the opponent, and 6-0 when the opponent scores less than 60 points.

• Gannon is among the PSAC's best in 3-point shooting a free throw shooting. The Golden Knights are fourth in the conference in triples made per game at 6.8 and first in free throw percentage with a clip of 74.7 percent. The Marauders are seventh in treys made per game at 5.5 but dead last in free throw percentage at 54.9 percent. Clarion is pretty good at shooting the three in its own right. The Golden Eagles are seventh in the league in 3-point percentage at 34.5 percent but have attempted the least shots from behind the arc in the PSAC. Teams don't shoot very well from the charity stripe when playing against Clarion and have a free throw percentage of just 69.7 when playing against the Golden Eagles.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Gannon has won three straight and four of its last five to sit in third place in a stacked PSAC Western Division. With that being said, the Golden Knights are just 2-3 away from home despite a home record of 5-0, just like Millersville's. Gannon's Dec. 20 victory over Cheyney was its first road win since Nov. 22 when it defeated Mercyhurst. Statistically, the Golden Knights are led by three scorers averaging in double figures including Mollie Sebald (12.6), Nettie Blake (12.4) and Brittany Batts (10.6). Blake is also the team's leading rebounder with 10.2 boards per contest and the Marauders are no stranger to the senior from Jersey City, N.J. When these two teams last met in the PSAC semifinals in 2013, Blake hit the gamewinner at the buzzer for then No. 7 Gannon that defeated the Marauders and sent the Golden Knights into the conference tournament finals.

• Clarion has struggled mightily so far in 2014-15. The Golden Eagles are just 1-10 overall, 0-6 in league play and have lost seven straight. Their lone victory came on Nov. 23 in a 66-54 win over Ursuline and they have yet to win on the road this season. However, Clarion does have a pair of capable scorers in Tania Holmes and Hannah Heeter. In 11 games played, Holmes is averaging 15.5 points per game while Heeter is averaging a double double through eight games with averages of 14.1 points and 11.6 rebounds per contest. Holmes has eclipsed 20 points four times this season including a career-high 30 against Pitt-Johnstown on Nov. 19. Heeter has reached the 20-point mark twice on the year and even scored the 1,000th point of her career on Nov. 15 against West Virginia State.
