Seton Hill (39-15) chased Marauder starter
Jim McDade (6-2) with five runs on eight hits in just three innings, and the Marauder lineup provided little assistance, mustering just one hit through six innings against Griffins' starter Jordan Fuller (5-1). The Griffins went on to out-hit Millersville 16-8, stole five bases and capitalized on three Marauder errors. Seven of the nine leadoff hitters reached base with a hit. Millersville has now gone 21 consecutive innings without a 1-2-3 inning.

Brendan Constantino led off the top of the first with a single, but McDade quickly retired the next two batters and looked to be on his way to a scoreless inning when Cody Herald hit a pop up to the first base side of the pitcher's mound. Millersville, however, was unable to make the play, and Costantino raced home from second base to score. That was not the last of Millersville's defensive miscues that proved costly.
Â
Seton Hill received three singles and scored a run in the second and a hit-by-pitch loaded the bases for No. 3 hitter Nick Sell. Sell delivered a two-run double to boost the lead to 4-0. The Griffins plated a run with a RBI triple in the third.
Â
Millersville put two runners on base in the second inning, but Fuller retired 10 consecutive Marauders until
Chas McCormick singled up the middle with one out in the sixth. Seton Hill stretched the lead to 6-0 before the Marauders scored their first run in the eighth.
Zach Stone brought home a run with a sacrifice fly, but the bases were left loaded, squelching hopes of a comeback.
Kurt Seiders, who went 3-for-4 on the day, scored the team's second run in the ninth on a McCormick sacrifice fly.
Â
Millersville's pitching staff has allowed 32 hits in the last two games, and the defense has committed eight errors in the three regional games. The offense has mustered just 10 runs in its last four postseason games and has scored more than five runs in just four of its last 18 games.
