Shelby Reimer was unable to put up a last-second attempt as Bloomsburg defeated Millersville 79-77 Wednesday night in Pucillo Gymnasium.

The Marauders (11-8, 6-3 PSAC East) shot a red-hot 49.1 percent (28-of-57) from the floor and drilled nine 3-pointers. However, turnovers proved costly as Millersville tied a season-high in that category with 28. The Huskies (16-3, 7-2 PSAC East) ended the game on a 10-4 run and made 24 of 25 free throw attempts on the night to seal their ninth consecutive win.

Millersville trailed Bloomsburg 74-73 before
Carly Gallagher went to the charity stripe to shoot three free throws. After missing the first, Gallagher made the second to tie the game for a 21st time and her third attempt went in to give the Marauders a 75-74 lead with 1:41 to go.

Celeste Robinson increased the margin to 77-74 with a pair of free throws before Adreana Sadowski cut the deficit to one with two free throws of her own. After a missed layup from
Yasmin Cooper, Noack secured the rebound and the Huskies called a timeout. Out of the breather, Jocelyn Ford inbounded the ball with a cross-court pass to Noack who did the rest.

The first 20 minutes saw 11 ties and 12 lead changes before that same tight play continued in the second half. The two teams were knotted up 59-59 with just under 10 minutes to go before Millersville used a 7-0 run to earn its biggest lead of the contest at 66-59. Bloomsburg answered with a 10-2 run of its own and was up 69-68 at the 3:53 mark. After two more lead changes, Gallagher's two free throw makes opened the final stretch of play.

Cooper turned in her fifth career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds while 12 of those points came in the second half. Gallagher also had 16 points to go with three rebounds, two assists and made four of her five free throw attempts.

Senada Mehmedovic came alive in the second half with 10 of her 13 points after the intermission. Mehmedovic was 4-for-8 from the field including 3-of-5 from 3-point land and made both of her free throws, The team's lone senior added four rebounds, two steals and one assist. Robinson tallied 11 points, four rebounds, two blocks, and tied a career-best seven assists. Reimer added 11 points as the fifth and final Marauder in double-figures.

The Marauders are off Saturday but will travel to West Chester (13-6, 8-1 PSAC East) on Wednesday Feb. 5 to take on the division-leading Golden Rams beginning at 5:30 p.m.
