Box Score Lock Haven, Pa. – Millersville women's basketball rebounded nicely from its loss at Cheyney, cruising past Lock Haven 74-47 Wednesday night in Thomas Fieldhouse.
The Marauders (10-7, 5-2 PSAC East) held the Bald Eagles (4-13, 2-5 PSAC East) to just 11-of-55 shooting. The 47 points, 11 made field goals and 20.0 field goal percentage are all season-lows for a Millersville opponent this season. The 27-point margin also marked the Marauders' most lopsided win of 2013-14.

Millersville alumn Jennifer Smith is now 0-7 against the Black and Gold as Lock Haven's head coach, and the Marauders have won the last eight in the series.

It was obvious from the opening tip that
Celeste Robinson was eager to get back on the floor after missing her first game of the season. Robinson led all scorers with 19 points, 13 of which came in the first half, on a brilliant 8-of-10 shooting performance. She was 2-for-2 from behind the arc and made one of her two free throw attempts. The sophomore guard also had six rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Carly Gallagher was the next scorer in double-figures with 13 and eight boards,
Yasmin Cooper chipped in 11 and eight and
Alexis Martin tallied 10 points to go with six rebounds.

Millersville led Lock Haven 22-21 with 6:35 to play in the first half. The Marauders then ripped off a 15-6 run and held a 37-27 advantage heading into the intermission. The run was fueled by seven of
Sabina Mehmedovic's nine points and four more by Robinson.
The guests' momentum continued with a 15-5 run to open the second half and they led by 20, 52-32 with just under 13 minutes to go in the game. Robinson poured in another six points during that stretch and Cooper dropped four as well. Millersville pushed its lead to as many as 28, 72-44 en route to a commanding road victory. The Marauders shot a scorching 55.2 percent (16-of-29) from the floor in the second half.
Marrysa Moyer came in averaging 16.5 points and 10.4 rebounds per game for the Bald Eagles, but was held to 10 and five and also turned the ball over a game-high six times.
Millersville outscored Lock Haven 27-15 off turnovers and 30-16 in the paint.

The Marauders welcome Shippensburg (11-6, 5-2 PSAC East) to Pucillo Gymnasium Saturday in a pivotal showdown within the division. Tipoff for the "Gold Rush" game is set for 1 p.m.
