Box Score Cheyney, Pa. - Lachelle Miller hit a 3-pointer with just seven-tenths of a second left to give Cheyney a 61-60 victory over Millersville Saturday in Cope Hall. Millersville led by as many as nine in the second half and was up seven, 57-50, with 3:33 left to play in the game. Cheyney then tied the game up at 58-58 with an 8-1 run before the final stretch.
The Marauders (9-7, 4-2 PSAC East) lost to the Wolves (2-13, 2-4 PSAC East) for just the third time under head coach
Mary Fleig and all three of those losses have come in Cheyney. Millersville hit just eight of its 29 shots (27.6 percent) in the second half and was just 17-of-30 (56.7 percent) from the free throw line on the afternoon. The Wolves took advantage of their trips to the charity stripe and were 23-for-27.
With the score tied 58-58,
Alexis Martin converted a layup with 14 seconds left that gave the Marauders a 60-58 lead. Lachelle Miller missed a jumper at the five second mark but an offensive rebound gave Cheyney another chance. After a Millersville timeout, Miller hit the game-winner with .7 seconds to play.
The Wolves won despite the Marauders holding them to 27.1 percent (16-of-59) shooting while Millersville managed to shoot just 34.5 percent (20-of-58) in its own right.

Celeste Robinson who missed her first game of the season.
Carly Gallagher led Millersville in scoring with 13 points and Martin was the other scorer in double-figures with 10.
