Cruz is First Marauder to Finish for Second Consecutive Week

Kutztown, Pa. - The Millersville cross country team ran in the Division II Challenge on Saturday afternoon finishing 13th out of 16 teams but was without three top runners in Brittney Martin, Elizabeth Reese and Abigail Daley.
The field included strong representation from the PSAC, NE-10 and several solid Division III schools. Shannon Cruz was the first runner to finish for the Marauders for the second-straight week. The freshman finished in 17th out of 192 runners with a time of 23:18.5.
Megan Meyer was the next runner to cross the finish line for the Black and Gold. The captain finished in 85th place overall with a time of 25:03.7. Kaitlin Hild finished in third for Millersville with a time of 25:21.5, which was good for 98th place overall.
Amanda Long was right behind her in 100th place and was clocked at 25:24. Taylour Mauro rounded out the scoring in 118th place with a time of 25:52.8.
The Marauders are off for two weeks and Coach Andy Young expects Martin, Reese and Daley back at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational.
