Baseball Puts Up 21 in Rout of USciences

Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - The PSAC's highest scoring offense kept at it Sunday against University of the Sciences. Millersville ripped 21 hits and rolled to a 21-9 non-conference victory.

Seven different Marauders recorded two or more hits as the lineup totaled 20 or more runs for the fourth time this season. Millersville (24-9) won for the 10th time in the last 11 games.

Mark Stuckey went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Zach Stone, Evan King and Tyler McDonald also tallied three hits apiece, and Dan Johnson slammed his first home run of the season.

USciences (11-14) was hardly a pushover, scoring six runs in the first two innings off of two Marauder freshmen pitchers. After three innings, the Devils held a 7-4 lead.

Millersville's comeback started in the fourth when Musser drove in Mike Lebo and Johnson cranked a three-run bomb. That four-run inning put the Marauders in front 8-7, and the bullpen locked down the Devils over the next five innings.

Pat Kelley (1-0) struck out three and allowed only two hits over 3.2 innings of work. With Kelley in control, the Millersville lineup extended the lead with at least one run in every inning the rest of the way.

Millersville now turns its attention back to PSAC Eastern Division play. It hosts Kutztown for the start of a pivotal divisional series on Friday.
