
Cruz Paces Marauders at PSAC Championship

Kutztown, Pa. - The Millersville women's cross country team has been paced by Shannon Cruz in all five of its events this season and that trend continued Saturday afternoon in the PSAC Championship. Cruz finished 18th out of 160 runners and was named All-PSAC for finishing in the top 20.
The freshman from Lancaster turned in a time of 23:04.9 to lead the Marauders. Cruz is Millersville's first runner to be named All-PSAC since Elicia Anderson finished second in 2010.
The next to finish for Millersville was Abigail Daley in 63rd place overall with a time of 24:26.9. Megan Meyer came in at third for the Marauders in 77th place and was clocked at 24:47.4. Amanda Long followed Meyer in 93rd place with a time of 25:10.3. Rounding out the scoring for Millersville was Elizabeth Reese who turned in a time of 25:16.4, which was good for 98th.
The Marauders finished 12th out of 17 teams.
Millersville now turns its attention to the NCAA Atlantic Regional on Nov. 9 in Lock Haven, Pa.
