
Millersville Concludes Season at Atlantic Regional

Lock Haven, Pa. - The Millersville women's cross country team concluded its season at the Division II Atlantic Region meet Saturday afternoon. Freshman Shannon Cruz was the top finisher for the Marauders in 16th place overall as the team finished in 15th out of 22 teams.
Cruz finished with the third-fastest time in Millersville history at 21:30.9 and was named All Atlantic-Region for finishing in the top 20 out of 162 total runners. The freshman from Lancaster, Pa. was 29 seconds and 10 places short of competing at the NCAA Championships on Nov. 23. She is the first Marauder to receive All-Region honors since Elicia Anderson did so in 2011.
The next Millersville runner to finish was Abigail Daley with a personal-best time of 22:49.4 in 70th place. That time is the 10th-best 6K time in program history. Megan Meyer was the third Marauder to finish in 92nd place overall with a career-best time of 23:26.3, which is good for 17th all-time on Millersville's 6K chart. Next for the Marauders was sophomore Amanda Long with a personal-best time of 23:45.6, which was good for 100th place overall and is the 21st-best 6K time in Millersville history. Brittney Martin rounded out the scoring for Millersville in 109th place and was clocked at 24:10.4.
The final two Marauder runners were Megan O'Neill and Taylour Mauro who both recorderd personal-bests. O'Neill finished in 117th place with a time of 24:24.3 while Mauro came in at 133rd place and logged a time of 25:27.8.
