Box Score Millersville, Pa. - Lock Haven capitalized on four Millersville turnovers and pulled away late for a 26-14 win on Homecoming Saturday.

Millersville (1-7, 1-4 PSAC) used three quarterbacks and each one threw an interception. Lock Haven (3-5, 2-3 PSAC) took full advantage of the miscues, especially at the end of the first half when it scored 10 points in six seconds to take a 13-0 lead into the break.

The Marauders eclipsed 300 yards of offense for the first time this season, totaling 307. Freshman Corey Unger was thrust into the lineup in the second half and sparked the offense with 38 rushing yards and 86 yards through the air on 8-of-20 passing. He also threw his first career touchdown pass to Trenton Petrovich, who made his first career touchdown catch.

The Marauder defense held Lock Haven to 77 yards rushing and 258 yards of total offense, keeping three consecutive opponents under 300 yards of offense since 2006. Lock Haven went just 3-for-16 on third down conversions. But the defense was put in difficult spots by a mistake-prone offense.

Lock Haven scored first at the 8:57 mark of the second quarter on a 48-yard boot from Alex Boumerhi. Millersville attempted to drive for a score starting with 1:28 left in the first half, but Connor Casey was injured on a sack, and that's when the game changed in favor of Lock Haven.

Jared Pierce completed a shovel pass to David Coates for 19 yards on his first snap, but was picked off at the Lock Haven 45 on the next play. Mike Williams returned the ball 42 yards to the Millersville 18 with 18 seconds left. On Lock Haven's second play of the drive, Caleb Walton connected with David Cook for a touchdown.

With only six seconds remaining in the half, Millersville tried to take a knee and head into the locker room down 10. But exchange from center to quarterback went awry and Lock Haven pounced on the ball at the Millersville 23. Boumerhi drilled a 40-yard field goal as the first half expired, giving the Bald Eagles 10 points in just six seconds.

Unger entered for the Marauders at the start of the second half, and after the defense forced two consecutive three-and-outs, Ian Sadon rushed four times on a six-play, 59-yard drive and ended it with a 17-yard touchdown run.

Millersville attempted an onside kick and recovered it, but the play was negated by an offside penalty. Lock Haven's Beau Swales made the Marauders pay for the penalty, returning the re-kick 49 yards to the Millersville 37-yard line. Lock Haven dashed Millersville's positive momentum on the very next play when Walton found Jesse Hoover on a 37-yard touchdown strike.

That score put the Marauders behind by two scores and out of reach. Walton threw his third touchdown pass on a fake field goal with 5:02 left in the game. Unger's 13-yard touchdown to Petrovich came with 29 seconds remaining.

Sadon finished the game with 74 yards on 18 carries. Brent Collins led Millersville with five catches for 55 yards. Reggie Slaton totaled 11 tackles for the Marauders. Gilbert Ramos had a sack, and Marvin Gaskill and Josh Garnett shared a sack.

Millersville hosts Kutztown on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 12 p.m.
