Millersville falls in season finale

MILLERSVILLE, Pa - Millersville fell into a large first-half deficit and struggled to find its rhythm on both sides of the ball for the remainder of the game, ultimately dropping its final contest of the season, 63–10.

Edinboro jumped out to an early lead with a nine-yard touchdown pass three minutes into the game. The Fighting Scots followed with a successful two-point conversion to take an 8–0 lead. Millersville had no response, punting on all five of its first-quarter drives, while Edinboro extended its lead to 19 points by the end of the quarter.

The Fighting Scots carried that momentum into the second quarter, stopping Millersville on its opening drive and marching down the field to increase the lead to 25, followed by another two-point conversion. After another defensive stop, Edinboro again drove the field for a touchdown. Millersville appeared to settle in offensively, moving from its own 25-yard line to the Edinboro 12. Tommy Hunsicker completed passes to Thaddeus Shaw, Steven Graves, Jermaine Tillery, and Bryce Ferguson to guide the drive, which resulted in a field goal by Trent McDowell. Before halftime, Edinboro added another touchdown, sending Millersville into the break trailing 42–3.

The third quarter opened quietly with both teams punting on their initial possessions. Edinboro struck first in the second half with a one-yard rushing touchdown. Millersville attempted to respond as Hunsicker led the offense downfield, but the Marauders turned the ball over on downs on a fourth-and-nine attempt. The Fighting Scots added another touchdown late in the quarter to extend the lead to 56–3.

Millersville scored its first touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter when Hunsicker connected with Tillery for a 34-yard touchdown pass, capping a 13-play, 66-yard drive that lasted five minutes. However, the deficit was too large to overcome, and the Marauders concluded the game with a 63–10 loss. Hunsicker finished with 233 yards and one touchdown. JQ Brown led the Marauders in rushing with 35 yards. Tillery led Millersville in receptions with four and 73 recieving yards. Defensively, Bryce Beutler, Kai Stiansen, and Ryan Aument led the Marauders in tackles with five each.
