Women's Cross Country Takes 36th at Paul Short Invitational

Allentown, Pa. – At the Paul Short Women's Brown Invitational at Lehigh University on Friday, Millersville's women's cross country team finished 36^th as a team with 921 points and an average team time of 25:02.

Sarah Mulvey notched the top time for the Marauders in the 6K race, clocking in at 74^th overall with a time of 23:34. Either Mulvey or Brittney Martin has had the team's best time in each race so far in the 2012 season. Following Mulvey for Millersville was Elizabeth Reese with a time of 24:14, which was good for 139^th overall.

Amanda Long raced to a 217^th-place finish with a time of 25:14 and Martin followed her 20 spots later, finishing in a time of 25:43. The final place for Millersville was Mallory Austin, whose 26:26 finish gave her 254^th place. There were 39 teams competing in the Brown Invitational and a total of 342 runners in the meet.

The Marauders' next course to navigate is at Gettysburg University in the Gettysburg Invitational. The team has two weeks off before the Oct. 13 run through the Gettysburg campus.
