Women's Cross Country Takes Eighth at Lock Haven

Lock Haven, Pa. – Traveling to Lock Haven on Saturday, the women's cross country team finished eighth out of the 12 team field in its fourth race of the season. Brittney Martin and Sarah Mulvey were again the top finishers for the Marauders.
Martin (23rd) and Mulvey (24th) crossed the line one after the other. Martin's time was 23:59.50 and Mulvey clocked in at 24:03.50. The other scorers for Millersville were Amanda Long, Elizabeth Reese and Kayla Naughton. Long finished in 53rd with a time of 25:40.80, Reese finished 58th at 25:55.20 and Naughton's time of 26:06.40 gave her a 60th place finish.
Two other runners who were not scorers but finished right outside the team's top five Saturday were Sarah Fink and Emily Leighow. Fink and Leighow directly followed Naughton in 61st and 62nd place with times of 26:11.60 and 26:16.30, respectively.
Millersville next hits a course on Sept. 28, when the team competes in the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University. That race starts at 1 p.m.
