Men’s Golf Takes Messiah Invitational Crown

Harrisburg, Pa. – The Millersville men's golf team won the Messiah Invitational at the Blue Ridge Country Club by seven strokes with a combined team score of 310. Four Marauders finished top five in the individual standings.
In their final regular season tournament, the Marauder captured their second tournament title of the season. They won the Eastern University Invitational on March 26.
Millersville finished with a combined team score of 310. Swarthmore College finished in second place with a team score of 317, while Albright College and Franklin & Marshall both recorded a total of 320 for third.
Shane Henry and Conor Gilbert both finished with 77s on the par 73 course to tie for third place in the individual standings. Brian Cooper and Tim See were one stroke behind heading into the clubhouse with a 78. Two other golfers finished with 78s for a four-way tie at fifth place. Robert Coyne finished with an 84.
Ryan Laudeman of Elizabethtown College and Robert Svigals of Franklin & Marshall both finished with scores of 76 to tie for the individual title.
Millersville closed out its regular season and will wait and see if it can make the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional that Millersville University will host in two weeks at the Hershey Country Club.
