THE STARTING FIVE

(2) The Marauders have scored 42 or more points in the first half in three of their last four games. They are now 3-1 when scoring above 40 points in the first half this season. Millersville's only loss came to Bloomsburg last Wednesday after it led 42-21 at the break. Cheyney is averaging just 48 points per game this season. The Marauders scored 47 in the first half against Shippensburg on Jan. 25..

(3) Head Coach Mary Fleig is 42-2 all time against Cheyney dating back to the 1990-91 season. The Marauders  cruised past the Wolves in their meeting on Jan. 16 at Cope Hall. Cheyney made it interesting early in the first half down just six points before the Marauders took full control in the second half for a 66-49 victory. Cheyney has not won at Pucillo Gymansium since it did so on Feb. 22, 1986. The Wolves have lost 25-straight games at Pucillo.

(4) Mashira Newman ended a 71-game steal streak on Saturday at West Chester. Newman had collected at least one steal per game since Dec. 30, 2009 when Millersville fell at University of the District of Columbia in what was just her ninth game as a Marauder. In 80 career games, Newman has gone without a steal in just three including the game on Saturday at West Chester.

(5) Newman, however, is currently on an eight-game double-figures streak to lead the Marauders. Newman is second on the team with 13.3 points per game. Redshirt freshman has hit at least one 3-pointer in each of her 10 games since coming back from injury and is currently on a double-figures streak of four games. Aurielle Mosley has led the Marauders in scoring in each of the last four games, including three-straight double-doubles.
