THE STARTING FIVE
1)  After back-to-back road wins over Lock Haven last Saturday (72-49) and Clarion Sunday (83-65), a 4-0 record to open the season is Millersville's fifth in the last five seasons. More importantly, it gives the Marauders a 2-0 start in PSAC play heading into a huge showdown with Bloomsburg this Saturday. In those two wins, Carly Gallagher averaged 19.5 points per game and shot 4-for-7 from three-point range in both games, providing the floor-stretching ability the team has been looking for in the sophomore's game.

2)  Saturday's game against Bloom could go either way; the game could turn into a shootout, or it could be a defensive battle. Millersville as a team is very strong from behind the arc, leading the PSAC  as a team at a 38.6 percent clip. The team's long-range shooting is led by its three backcourt players in Mashira Newman (50 percent), Carly Gallagher (47.6 percent) and Senada Mehmedovic (42.9 percent). On the defensive end of the floor, the Marauders rank second in the PSAC in defensive three-point percentage, allowing opponents to shoot just 23.4 percent from deep. However, that is also one of the Huskies biggest strenghts, as they rank right behind Millersville, allowing 23.8 percent on three- point shots from opponents. They also have forward Dana Wieller on their side, who guns three-pointers at  a 45.2 percent clip and recently moved into third place all-time in three-pointers made in PSAC history.

3)  While Bloom (84.4 points per game) and Millersville (79.5) rank first and third, respectively in scoring per game in the conference, one needs to look no further than the teams' defenses for a reason why this game could be a defensive struggle. The Huskies rank third in the PSAC by allowing just 57.0 points per game, and the Marauders rank fifth, giving up just 57.5 points per game on the defensive end of the floor. Come Saturday, something hast to give.

4)  After reaching the 1,000-point mark for her career in the first game of the season, senior forward Aurielle Mosley is on the verge of another milestone for her career. Currently the nation's sixth-best shot-blocker with 3.5 per game, Mosley needs just eight more to break the school record. She currently sits at 193 for her career, and the record stands at 200.

5)  One other big key to Saturday's showdown between the top two teams in the PSAC East will be rebounding. Millersville and Bloom rank No.1 and No. 2 in team rebounding per game in the conference.  The Marauders are the best in the PSAC at getting second chances, topping the PSAC with 20.5 offensive rebounds per game. Bloom tops the Marauders in defensive rebounding for the best figure int he conference at 32.6 per game.
