Women's Cross Country Places 13th at PSAC Championships

Slippery Rock, Pa. – Saturday at the PSAC Championships, Millersville's women's cross country team took 13th place in the 15-team field with a team score of 310. The team's top runner was Sarah Mulvey, who placed 39th overall.
Mulvey clocked a time of 24:05.2 to pace the Marauders for the fifth time in seven races this season. Finishing second to Mulvey among Millersville runners was Brittney Martin with a time of 24:31.3, which netted her a 55th-place finish overall.
Amanda Long was the Marauders' third-best runner, placing 69th with a time of 25:15.0. Elizabeth Reese clocked in fourth among Millersville's runners in 76th place. Reese's time was 25:32.2. The final Millersville scorer for the race was Sarah Fink, who finished 87th in a time of 26:22.7.
The top three teams were Shippensburg, which scored a 62, Edinboro, coming in with 73 points and Indiana (Pa.), which finished with 89 team points. Katie Spratford of Shippensburg took the individual title with a time of 21:32.1. The Red Raiders had three runners inside the top 10.
The next event for Millersville would be the NCAA Atlantic Regional at Lock Haven University if any runners qualify. That race is Nov. 3 and starts at 11 a.m.
