Cross Country Finishes 16th at NCAA Atlantic Regional

Lock Haven, Pa. - The Millersville women's cross country team grabbed a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Atlanic Regional Saturday in Lock Haven. Sarah Mulvey finished in 53rd among individual runners for the Marauders' best time at 22:48.7.
Mulvey led Millersville in six of its eight races this season. Her time Saturday was a personal best. The Marauders' next finisher was Brittney Martin, who finished 73rd overall and crossed the line at 23:14.9. Martin and Mulvey also finished first and second respectively for MIllersville at the PSAC Championship.
Coming in third for the Marauders was Elizabeth Reese, who ran a time of 23:48.7 and fell inside the top 100 runners in 90th place. Amanda Long also ran in the top 100 with a personal-best time of 23:57.3, good for the 95th position.
The next finisher for Millersville was Sarah Fink, who was the 102nd runner to cross the line with a personal-best time of 24:06.8. Mallory Austin who ran in a PR at 25:36.6 and Victoria Carroll posted a 26:43.9 to round out the Marauder runners.
Shippensburg (70), Edinboro (90), and Indiana (Pa.) (102) finished as the top teams with the Red Raiders having four runners in the top 20. Shippensburg's Katie Spratford ran the best time of the day, finishing at 20:20.0.
