THE STARTING FIVE
(1) The Marauders are coming off their second widest margin of victory this season after defeating East Stroudsburg 74-53 at home on Wednesday evening. It is Millersville 10th-straight win over the Warriors. The Marauders, who only average a scoring margin of +4.9, now have six double-digit margins of victory of at least 14 points or more, including three games by 20 or more. Millersville has won two-straight games for the first time since Dec. 4 and Dec. 9.
(2) Millersville will be playing its fourth game in seven days when it travels to Kutztown on Saturday, Jan. 21. The Marauders last two outings were decided by at least 17 points, which allowed head coach
Mary Fleig to rest her starters late in the second periods. Millersville looks to extend its winning-streak to three, which would tie the largest streak of the season. Millersville opened the season 3-0.
(3) Coach Fleig has lead her team to double-digit wins in all 22 years since taking over at Millersville. In fact, the Millersville women's basketball program has won 11 or more games for 33-straight years. The program was 5-7 in 1978-79 under then first year head coach Lynda Humphreville. Fleig led the Marauders to an 11-14 record her first year in 1990-91 and has not had a losing season since.
(4) Four of the Marauders' five starters finished in double-figures in Millersville's last out against East Stroudsburg.
Aurielle Mosley extended her double-figures streak to eight straight, while collecting her 10th double-double of the season (17/13).
Mashira Newman also scored 17 points with a season-high eight assists.
Leola Pinkney scored 14 points and collected nine steals, one shy of school's single-game record, and
Sophia Waters knocked down five-of -10 for 12 points.
(5) Millersville has dominated the all-time series versus Kutztown. The Marauders have won the last six meetings and only lost four times (23-4) since 2000-01. Fleig has an all-time record of 34-12 against Kutztown, 29-9 against current head coach Janet Malouf. Fleig held a 15-game win streak against Malouf from 2002-08.
