Kutztown, Pa. – Junior Sarah Bernhardt won both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races, but Kutztown won eight of the other nine events to give Millersville is first loss of the season, 120-74.

For the third time this season Bernhardt won both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events in the same meet. Bernhardt finished the 50-yard freestyle in 25.37 seconds to collect nine points. She won the 100-yard freestyle by three full seconds with a time of 53.63 seconds. It is Bernhardt's second best time of the season for a second PSAC qualifier in the event. Bernhardt finished with a team-high 22 points.

Junior Arielle Walbert contributed to 18 of Millersville 74 points. She swam the team's season's best in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Walbert took second place in the event in a time of 11:24.42. She was a member of Millersville's 400-yard freestyle relay team that took first place in the final event. Rebecca Anderson, Walbert, Emma Viets and Adriana Rodriguez finished in a time of 4:00.01 to earn 11 points.

Freshman Brigid Mary McDonnell collected second-place finishes in the 200-yard IM and the 200-yard breaststroke. She finished the 200-yard IM in 2:21.45, while finishing the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:36.50. McDonnell was part of 12 team points.

The Marauders host Lock Haven at the Pucillo Natatorium on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m.
