Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville men's soccer team has started the season unblemished at 3-0. On Tuesday, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its fourth poll of the 2011 season with the Marauders breaking in at No. 20 for their first national ranking of the season.

The Marauders (3-0, 2-0 PSAC), who were picked to finish first in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) by its coaches, began their season with a convincing 2-0 win over non-conference foe Tusculum College. Millersville, after having its first two conference games postponed, opened PSAC play against Bloomsburg on the road. The Marauders held the Huskies scoreless in the one-sided affair, coming away with a 2-0 road victory.

In its last outing, Millersville scored two unanswered goals in the second half to complete the comeback over rival East Stroudsburg by a score of 2-1. The Marauders have outscored their opponents by a 6-1 margin, and outshot them 32-23.

Millersville's last national ranking came on Nov. 2, 2010 after beating No. 12 Gannon and No. 25 Mercyhurst in convincing fashion. The Marauders moved to No. 8 after being out of the rankings since week four.

The Marauders also moved up to No. 3 in the NCAA Atlantic Regional rankings. Millersville is the only undefeated team left in the region, but is behind Mercyhurst and West Virginia Wesleyan in the rankings. Millersville gets its chances at both the Lakers and the Bobcats later in the season.

Millersville takes on reigning PSAC Champion Shippensburg this afternoon at Chryst Field at 4 p.m. The Marauder Sports Broadcasting Network (MSBN) will provide live audio and video of the contest for those who cannot attend. Live stats will also be available.
