Men’s 4x100 Relay Sets School Record at PSAC Championships

Slippery Rock, Pa. – The Millersville men's 4x100-meter relay team broke the school record and several others had career days on day two at the PSAC Championships in Slippery Rock, Pa.
The men's 4x100-meter relay team qualified for the finals tomorrow with the sixth best time in the race. Thomas Wexler, Derrick Bass, Chris Jackson and Keith Ogden broke the school record of 41.93 seconds set a year ago with a finish in 41.82 seconds.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team also qualified for the finals on day three with the eighth best time in the preliminaries. Mattie Conaboy, Erin Mason, Abby Schneider and Chrissy Savage finished the race with a time of 48.40 seconds to better their previous season best of 48.88 seconds.
Rebekah Moore picked up more points for the women's team, collecting one point, when she finished eighth place in the 5,000-meter run. Moore finished the race in a time of 17:57.68.
Savage qualified for the women's 400-meter hurdles finals with her time of 1:03.50 to take the eighth seed in tomorrow's race.
Bass and Ogden continued their record setting day with individual career marks in their respective events. Bass collected five points for the men's team with his fourth place finish in the men's long jump reaching a distance of 7.04 meters—a personal best. Ogden placed first in the men's 400-meter hurdles to advance to the finals tomorrow. His time of 52.92 seconds puts him second all-time in Millersville history and improved his NCAA provisional qualifier of 53.32 seconds set on April 30 at the Paul Kaiser event.
Zac Kohler also had a career day with his fourth place finish in the decathlon. Kohler's 6,082 total points was a personal best and placed him fifth all-time in Millersville history.
Through two days at the PSAC Championships the men's team is in eighth place with 15 total points, while the women's team sits sixth with 17 total points.
