Marauders Struggle to 16th Place Finish

Indiana, Pa. - The Millersville men's golf needed a high finish at the IUP Invitational if it was to reach the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional. The Marauders, however, finished 16th in a 19 team field.
On the par 71 Indiana Country Club course, the Marauders opened with a 320 and closed with a 316 to finish at 636. IUP, the host, took team honors with a 582 total. Brad Boyle cruised to the indvidiual title after posting a 7-under-par 71 on the first day and finishing at 4-under for the tournament.
Millersville's top finisher was Brian Cooper, who finished at 14-over and in a tie for 44th. Matt Dudas placed one shot behind Cooper and in 55th place. Shane Henry tied for 64th with back-to-back rounds of 80. Chris Fieger placed 85th and George Trosley came in one spot later.
The tournament was the last of the regular season. The team's highlight this year came at the PSAC Championship when it placed fourth.
