Camp LeJeune, N.C. – The Millersville men's golf team competed at the Camp LeJeune Invitational at the Paradise Point Golf Course over the weekend. The Marauders finished 32nd in the final team standings, but in the second round, the team broke 300 for the first time this season.
Millersville closed the three-round tournament at 92-over-par. A slow start on the Gold Course put the Marauders behind early with a first round 50-over-par 330. Playing the Scarlet Course In the second round, the Marauders improved to break the 300 mark for the first time this season.
Brian Cooper and George Trosley led the way in the second round for Millersville shooting a 73, and a 74 respectively on the par 70 course. The team shot a 297 on the second day.
Millersville's top golfer in the tournament was Matt Dudas, who finished the tournament with 228 over three rounds of play.
The Marauders are back in action today at the Deerfield Golf and Country Club in Newark, Del., to compete in Goldey-Beacom's Spring Invitational.
