ABOUT THE GAME
· No. 24 Millersville is coming off of a 79-49 romping of Cheyney Wednesday evening on the road. The bounce back, after falling to Bloomsburg just one week ago, marked the Marauders third-straight conference road victory. Millersville left little doubt and out-scored the Wolves 14-2 to kick-start the game and extended its lead to as many as 22 in the first half alone. MU then ripped off a 13-2 run to start the second half and built the lead to 30. Even though the Marauders committed 30 turnovers throughout the contest, their 49.2 shooting from the floor and 5-of-12 from 3-point range sealed the game.
· Senior
Domonique Stroman registered a game and career-high 26 points against Cheyney on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Stroman narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds, in addition to her five assists and game-high tying four steals. Sophomore
Aurielle Mosley continued to dominate the low post as she scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. It was Mosley's sixth-straight and 12th double-double performance of the season.
· Millersville moved back up to the top spot in the PSAC in field goal percentage defense, limiting its opponents to an average of .352 shooting. The Marauders also lead the rebounding margin category as they pull down 11.1 more boards per game than their opponents. Tied for the top spot in the conference with Edinboro, MU averages 6.0 blocked shots per game.
· While Millersville holds an impressive overall record of 54-3 against Mansfield, the club is 23-3 on the Mounties' home court. The last time the Marauders dropped a game to Mansfield was during the 2006-07 season on the road.
· MU and the Mounties will face off Saturday for the second time this season. When the two clubs matched up mid-way through January Millersville came away with a 67-52 win. All five of
Mary Fleig's starters scored in double figures to lead the Marauders to their first conference win of the year. Millersville also crashed the boards, with 30 of their 49 coming on the defensive end.
