ABOUT THE GAME
· No. 18 Millersville wrapped up PSAC crossover action with a 2-0 weekend at home. The Marauders defeated Lock Haven 71-59 Saturday afternoon with a balanced offensive effort in which four players scored in double figures. On Sunday Millersville edged Edinboro 51-48 in the final minute, handing the Fighting Scots just their second loss of the season. Three players tallied double figure scores to lead MU to its third-straight victory and its sixth win in the last seven games.
· Millersville kicks off PSAC East play ranked atop the conference with a 10-2 record.
Mary Fleig's club looks to open conference action with a 4-0 start like it did just one year ago. Take a look at PSAC statistics and it is no wonder why Millersville is off to such a great start to the season. The Marauders lead the league in several categories, including rebounding offense at 47.2 per game, rebounding margin of +9.8 per game, offensive rebounds of 20.2 per game and blocked shots at 5.6 per game.
· A dominant force on the glass all season for the Marauders, sophomore forward
Aurielle Mosley has led her team in rebounds in eight of MU's 12 games. Her average of 11.1 rebounds per game (133 total) ranks her second in the conference. Mosley also sits second in the PSAC with 5.3 offensive rebounds per game and third with 5.8 defensive rebounds. Post-mate
Gabrielle Styles ranks eighth in the conference in offensive rebounds with 3.7 per game and 11th with an average of 7.4 rebounds.
· A do-it-all player for the second-straight season
Mashira Newman has led the Marauders in scoring in half of their 12 games and has led the assists category in eight contests. She has registered double-digit scores in all but two games for Millersville and holds an average of 14.4 points per game. The conference's leader in steals, Newman has nabbed 47 overall and averages 3.9 steals per game.
· Millersville came away with a 2-0 mark against Bloomsburg last season and have won nine of the clubs' last 10 match ups. Third-yeard head coach Bill Cleary looks for his first win against the Marauders while at the helm of the Husky bench.
