Cooper Cracks Navy Spring Invitational Top 20

Annapolis, Md. - With 3-over-par second round, sophomore Brian Cooper moved into the top 20 and helped the Millersville men's golf team to a 15th-place finish at the Navy Spring Invitational Sunday afternoon.
Cooper fired a second-round, 4-over-par 75 to finish at 10-over and in a tie for 18th. His 75 was one of the best rounds of the day, and he placed 44 spots higher than Nick Magenta, who was Millersville's No. 2 finisher at 18-over-par.
Shane Henry and Dan Brown slipped on day two and tied for 77th. Matt Dudas tied for 89th.
Millersville dropped two places in the standings despite following Saturday's 318 with a second round 319. Host Navy captured the team crown at 24-over-par. Navy's Ben Hayes shot a 4-over-par 75 Sunday to finish at even-par for the tournament. He still managed to hold off Columbia's Clark Granum, who finished at 1-over-par.
Millersville competes in the Shepherd Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
