Women's Swimming Sets Sights on PSAC Championships (Video)

Mechanicsburg, Pa. – Five Marauders are heading to the four-day Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Championships on Thursday, Feb. 18 to compete for conference titles.
Leading the squad is freshman standout Sarah Bernhardt, who in her few months as a Marauder, has already broken three school records in the 50-yard freestyle (25.21), 100-yard freestyle (53.64), and the 100-yard butterfly (56.68). Bernhardt will be competing in all three of those events at the PSAC meet.
Another freshman making her mark in the pool is Arielle Walbert, who broke the Millersville record in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:46.70. At the championship meet, Walbert will swim in the 400 IM, the 200 IM (2:16.29), and the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:44.96).
Kelsie Jones, the third freshman heading to PSACs, will be competing in the 200 IM (2:18.49), the 100-meter backstroke (1:00.40), and the 200-meter backstroke (2:12.26). Sophomore Amie Mowery will swim in the 200 IM (2:17.97) and the 200 fly (2:17.62). The lone senior Breann Martinez will be competing in the 100 fly (1:02.97).
Millersville will also participate in relay events, which are to be determined at the meet. The PSAC Championships run from Thursday through Sunday. Results will be made available after each day of competition.
