Serbun Leads Marauders to Fourth Place Finish at WJU Invitational

Moundsville, W.Va. - Millersville senior Luke Serbun turned in his best performance of the young season, shooting an 8-over-par 148 at the two-day WJU Invitational held at Moundsville Country Club in Moundsville, W.Va. to finish tied for eighth. Teammate Brian Cooper finished three shots behind Serbun and the pair led the Marauders to a fourth-place finish in the 14-team field.
#Serbun# opened the two-day event with a 75, but responded in the second round with an impressive 73, which stood as the fourth-lowest round of the day. #Cooper# fired rounds of 76 and 75 to finish in a tie for 16th at 11-over-par. The freshman has finished 16th or better in all three of tournaments of his Millersville career.
Trent Coldren finished one shot behind Cooper in a tie for 18th. Senior #Darryn DeShong# grabbed his third-straight top-25 finish with a 15-over-par 155. #Brian Olinger# rounded out the scoring with a 17-over 157, which was good for 38th.
The Marauders have finished in the top half of all four events this season. The team returns to the course on Oct. 5 for the two-day Vulcan Invitational which is hosted by California (Pa.).
