Box Score

Bloomsburg, Pa. - One week after upsetting East Stroudsburg to take over sole possession of first place in the PSAC East, the No. 17-ranked Millersville men's soccer team remained undefeated in division play as it downed the Bloomsburg Huskies Wednesday night, 2-0.

The win improves Millersville's record to 8-2 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the PSAC East. It is the first time in program history that a team has started conference play 5-0. The Marauders came out strong against the Huskies (4-3-4, 1-2-2 PSAC East) and tallied a goal in each half of play. Midfielder Shane Seabrook scored the first goal of the game at the 25:18 knocking an unassisted shot by Bloomsburg junior goalkeeper David Leiendecker to give Millersville the early lead.

Leiendecker, who has tallied two shutouts this season, was barraged by a Millersville offense that took 13 shots and controlled the ball for most of the match.

The games only other goal came in the 54th minute when senior Ryan Kiley tallied an unassisted goal to seal the victory. The goal, which was his fourth of the year, is the 17th the Marauders have scored against conference opponents this season. The Marauders are excelling against division opponents so far, allowing 0.6 goals a game.

Millersville goalkeeper Matt Langione notched his fourth shutout of the season and has just over an 80 percent save percentage this season.

The Marauders next game is Saturday evening when they take on the top team n the PSAC West--the Vulcans of California (Pa.). Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. The team hopes to change its fortunes against the West as its only two losses have come in PSAC crossover contests.
