About the Marauder
- Why Millersville: I chose Millersville because the school and cross country team presented a very welcoming and fun environment, and the campus was also beautiful.
- Off-the-track hobbies: Hiking random trails in the mountains and trying new types of food and recipes
- Interesting summer job: I worked at Sonic for a year as a skating carhop.
- Hidden talent: I used to be a gymnast and was oddly flexible before I started.
- Favorite professional athlete: Brenda Martinez and Craig Engels
- Favorite series to binge watch: Stranger Things
- Pre-meet ritual: I always have a smiley face drawn onto the bottom or side of my racing shoes, so I tap it twice to remind myself to have fun while I run.
Personal
- Daughter of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Sykes
- Father serves in the U.S. Navy as marine helicopter pilot
- Majoring in media arts production
